Wow. I’m overwhelmed at the comments, emails and tweets. I’m working a table at a career fair today and I’m thrilled that I made the decision to invest in an airport card so I can get online today and write to you all. I will answer everyone’s questions one at a time, as soon as I can. My DH pointed out last night that if all of us lose 20 pounds, that is a total of 400 pounds!
I’ve been on Jenny Craig and lost (then gained it back), as well as weight watchers (and gained it back)…I’ve hired personal trainers, I’ve done Sugar Busters, low fat, no fat, low carb, high protein, blah, blah, blah. Let’s face it. After a certain age, and after having a baby or two, this definitely has to be a lifestyle change. We can only do this a day at a time, and one healthy decision/choice at a time.
Today, even though I’m away from home, I loaded up my thermal lunch bag with v-8 juice, an apple, a chunk of skinny cow cheese, a tuna cup, a trail-mix bar. They have provided a huge spread of food at the event I’m at right now — of course donuts for breakfast…but I’m not even tempted because I have you all to write to and talk about the choices I’m making today. The details for this weight loss TEAM effort will be given to you soon. At this first stage, I’m just gathering up the TEAM — we still have room for a few more women so feel free to tweet about this and spread the word!
