Last night — two steps back

Last night was a disaster. My sometimes walking partner invited me out for a “girls night” out. Since the hubby was at Bible study, I said sure! We went to a quaint little wine bar down the street. After about 6 oz of red wine, I became almost light headed and needed food badly. My body couldn’t take the alcohol after eating so few calories and exercising so much lately. So, we ordered the spinach con queso dip and chips and I proceeded to eat away but then I felt so much better. If I hadn’t eaten, you would have had to carry me home from being tipsy! When I got home, my resistance seemed to be zero so I downed a 100 calorie snack pack cookie thing and then polished off about 5 or 6 chocolates from a box my hubby had opened. I can’t even figure out how many points last night was but it probably exceeded my 35 extra points per week. I feel pretty crappy this morning but I wanted to journal about this mishap to KEEP IT REAL. I wonder what affect this will have on my weigh-in on Saturday. 😦

  1. Brush yourself off, today’s a new day. Don’t fret on yesterday. Just move forward. That’s all you can do.

  2. everythinginorder

Teresa, thank you so much for the encouragement. That’s exactly what I’m doing today. Happy New Years!

  3. Agree with Teresa; you made it real; you owned it; now you’re back on track. I caved today and ate 2 cookies, 2 pieces of taffy, and a litle Christmas chocolate (of course, all at work). I’m counting each thing as a point and writing it down—that’s progress for me because I used to go off plan and IGNORE it like it didn’t happen. OK, back on track—tomorrow is a NEW YEAR!!!
